Heartache And Pain Came Pouring Down

Run fast for your mother, run fast for your father, run for your children, for your sisters and brothers..
Leave all your love and loving behind, you cant carry it with you if you want to survive.

Have we become immune?
Human beings pride themselves on being the most empathetic creatures on the planet, i ask where is this empathy when 20 million people are living in the mud and ruins of their lives, ravaged by 20 foot torrents?

Don't get me wrong, there are hundreds of people who have come to the aid of these poor people, The United Nations, private NGO's, international aid agencies...see a pattern? the same people who are forced to help, in times of a disaster!
I am not being ungrateful, not saying that people are not helping...LORD knows how much people have helped...the entire country has mobilized into a force, feuled by their 'jazbah' (fire in the heart)..

All i do is urge more and more people to feel..just feel for those who have lost EVERYTHING. i can sit here and quote statistics, post pictures of all the devastation gripping our country and update my facebook status pleading for people to come out and help..but what i really want is for people to feel..feel for all those mothers, children, brothers, sisters torn apart.

That could/should be Us..
What would you do if it was you?
What would you like everyone else to do if you were sitting on the roof of your house crumbling and sinking under you?

What would you do if the clothes on your back were the only ones you had left?
Think about what your going to have for dinner tonight..now think about those people sitting in the dark, muddy snake infested water for as far as you can see, swatting away those mosquitos and sharing one peice of bread between their family of 6.. still thinking about your dinner tonight?!

I know iv lost my appetitie.

..And its true we are immune!
When fact is fiction and TV is reality

And Today the millions cry,
we eat and drink while tomorrow they die!
